We got snow! Wet snow that is. Today we need to wait and let some of the moisture drain before we can groom any trails. Groom too early and all we end up doing is pushing slush around. Tonight the temps will fall below freezing and then we will get out and work our magic. Sunday should be a great first day to ski at Legacy park!
12-12-2022 Almost Enough
We finally got some snow on the ground, enough to make things pretty but not enough to groom any trails. Fingers crossed that big storm out West drops some more when it gets to New Hampshire.
Trail Maintenance
On Saturday, November 12th and Saturday, November 19th from 10am to 3pm we will be out to clean up the trails for the upcoming winter ski season.
Bring some work gloves, loppers, rakes and help us cut back some underbrush, clear out the culverts, pick up loose rocks and lay down some mulch. The more we do now the easier it is to groom the ski trails for all the ski on when the snow flies.
In an effort to reduce foot traffic on the groomed ski trails we are happy to announce that we have created 2 new snowshoe/walking trails! The 1 mile “Family Loop” routes around the Brook Trail and parts of lower Chesterfield while the 1.25 mile “Fitness Loop” adds more elevation up and around and through Powder Hill.
The Family loop is ready to go, only need to add some signage. The Fitness Loop is marked with ribbons but we still need your help clearing out dead branches and debris.
