About Us

The Bedford Cross-Country Ski Club was created in 1996 by an enthusiastic group of local nordic skiers wanting to establish a ski club for those with a shared passion for cross-country skiing in southern New Hampshire.  Since then, our club has grown significantly and today provides ski instruction, equipment, a warming hut for skiers during the ski season and trails for local skiing right in town at Earl Legacy Park.

The Earl Legacy Park 5km Nordic Ski Trail System is maintained and groomed by Bedford Cross-Country Ski Club volunteers.  Over 100 area high school and middle school Nordic racers practice on the trails, as well as host local races.  Every Sunday the Club runs its  “Bill Koch League” which introduces children to cross-country skiing in a fun and supportive environment.  Depending on age and ability, a variety of coached groups for novice and competitive skiers up to 8th grade are run by Club volunteer coaches.

Earl Legacy Park is open to the skiing public as well.

As always the Benedictine Park , Joppa Hill Farm , Pulpit Rock all in Bedford, and Joe English Reservation in Amherst are all great winter trail alternatives for snow shoeing and walking your dog.
